Call to Worship
Leader: Sing with joy to God our strength!
People: Raise a loud shout to the God of Jacob!
Leader: For the Lord is our God, who has delivered us from captivity.
People: God has opened wide our mouths, and filled us with good things.
Hymn: "Sing Praise to God, Who Reigns Above" #15
Prayer of the Day (in unison)
O God, you invite the poor and the sinful to take their place in the festive assembly of the new covenant. May your church always honor the presence of the Lord in the humble and the suffering, and may we learn to recognize each other as brothers and sisters, gathered together around your table. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Call to Confession
Let us confess our sins in the name of Jesus Christ.
Prayer of Confession (in unison)
Merciful God, in Jesus you have shown us a way that is humble and seeks the good of others. We confess that our way is often about elevating ourselves and ignoring what others need. Sin leads us down the path that is easy for us, yet destructive for the wider community. Free us from the temptation to pursue only our own pleasure. Help us to live in harmony with all your people, sharing one world and eating around one table, for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Assurance
God's compassion grows warm and tender for those who have strayed. Your sins are forgiven, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen
